You should try 2.92 as one item of this has been fixed by but I think you'd always see a crash then, not a stall. I've had good results with patching like this for 2.77: So that might be why stopping and restarting fixes it. torrent files of the same file open fine.

Im wondering if its a problem on the sources end. I tested magnet links that I opened fine 12 hours ago and I get the same message. This could be related to a couple of problems that I have found.Ģ.) if the acquired metadata pieces are determined to be bad we just keep retrying the same over and over. From Chrome and Safari, when I click on a magnet link from multiple sources, I get a message that the file is corrupted and cannot be opened. Also, if I remote the torrent and then redo it, from the same link, then it will also begin processing normally. After the restart, when I went into Network section of Transmission Preferences, I noticed that the peer listening port that I had always been using (51413) was appearing as closed.
